BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: WE HAVE HAD A CANCELLATION FOR THE 8:00 RCAF WIND ENSEMBLE CONCERT, FREEING UP 50 TICKETS.

• We have almost arrived! This is our last set of reminders and announcements before we finally get to enjoy our festival. Consider reviewing previous announcements in order to assure a smooth festival. If you are considering coming back to Moose Jaw next year, it is suggested that you do what many of our seasoned directors do each year; think of booking rooms for 2027 while you are here, May 17-20, 2027. Choral and jazz bands will be May 18-20. Registrations will open on Saturday, October 10 at 12:01 am..

• Don’t forget to register virtually as you enter the city by texting 306-681-3850, stating your name or group name in the text. We no longer distribute hard copies of the program unless requested. The digital program can be accessed via the home page of our website.

• Anyone who can… consider sending us a photo of your group as you depart your community, loading the bus, kids on the bus, etc. We are also looking for photos of groups with our favourite, Mac the Moose!

• Please review the equipment list for your venue(s) as our equipment lists are constantly updated with larger items.. Remember that we will not be providing beaters or mallets of any kind or extension cords. Please bring your own labelled items.

• We ask that your group take up only one side of the warmup space, leaving the opposite side for the next group. Please ensure that all equipment, including music folders and student cases, is labelled with your group name.

• Recordings of each session will be emailed to the directors by 10 PM the evening of the session.

• Can you build a better mousetrap? We are always looking for better and easier ways to get things done. If you have an idea please email or text the office and we will add it to our continuing “glitch list”. We maintain one each year.

Checklist for Directors

• Check night show times and locations if applicable

• 2 Scores and 2 print bios for clinicians

• Labelled cords, music folders, percussion equipment, & student cases with group name

• Festival phone # in phone 306-681-3850

• Your detailed (including even triangle beaters) percussion checklist for your percussionists.

• Book hotel rooms for next year - May 17-20, 2027

• Decline permission for public photos if applicable (email)

• Inform bus driver of routes and available long term parking. Details in the March 16 Monday announcement.
